The state has a lot to offer for nature enthusiasts. Campgrounds, waterways, ATV trails, state parks, hiking trails and so much more. Mississippi boasts lovely warm weather all year round, which is another plus!

If you are looking for a fun activity for the entire family in Mississippi, ATVing should definitely be on the top of your list. ATVs are popularly used in the state for outdoor chores as well as recreational activities.

Bethel ATV Trail

If you are a complete beginner not ready for rough terrains, Bethel Trail in Saucier is a good location for you. Overseen by the US Forestry Department, this trail consists of two different loops. Unlike some trails on this list, Bethel isn’t particularly challenging or muddy. It’s important to note that this trail is not ideal for wide ATVs or UTVs.

Red Creek Off-Road

What’s ATVing without kicking up some dirt and gravel? Red Creek Off-Road has 20-miles of trails and an extensive outdoor experience. In addition to ATVing on challenging trails, you can also enjoy swimming, staying in a cabin, or camping overnight. 

Burden’s Creek ATV Park

Burden’s Creek ATV Park offers sprawling 400-acres of off-road trails for day or night riding. You can bring all kinds of vehicles and enjoy a day of cruising through a wide range of terrains. This park also hosts a variety of annual events throughout the year.

South Mississippi Off-Road and RV Park

South Mississippi Off-Road and RV Park (formerly known as Muddy Joe’s) is 600 acres of off-roading paradise for ATV enthusiasts. With 7 different muddy sandy trails, you can bring all kinds of vehicles to this park. If you are just planning to sit back and relax, you have plenty of options such as swimming in the lake, sitting by the pool, and hanging out in the game room. 

Mudslangers Off Road Trails

If you are seeking a thrilling ATV experience, then head over to Mudslangers Off Road Trails. Located in Woodland, you can ride up the hills and down into the sandpits. The park has a duck pond and a concession stand that serves hot dogs, burgers, and nachos. 

Tiger Creek ORV

Situated in Desoto National Forest, Tiger Creek ORV has about 12 miles of shorter trails. You also have the option to camp. The trails are usually open all year round.

Warfield Point Park

Warfield Point Park gives riders an opportunity to ride along the Mississippi riverbank. The park is also equipped with RV hookups, grills, picnic facilities, and playgrounds. 

Rocks Bottom Offroad Park

Do you want to level up from riding on flat land? Rocks Bottom Offroad Park has a 30-mile trail that is moderately challenging. You’ll get to ride through hills, mud bogs, sandbars, ponds, and more.
